Technical Lodge, No.5666 was consecrated in 1937.
The Lodge was founded with the intention to encourage the study of the arts, science and technology. Originally it met at the Central Masonic Hall on Park Street in Hull. Taking its name from the Hull Municipal Technical College, it was established through the efforts mainly of staff of both the College and its feeder school Riley High School.
Being primarily created by schoolteachers and lecturers of the College, it was decided that the Technical Lodge should meet on a Saturday to accommodate the working hours of academic freemasons who would struggle to attend meetings during the working week.
Although our meeting place has changed to Beverley Road Masonic Hall in Hull our principles still remain the same: Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Service.
