Technical Lodge No 5666 is a Lodge of Freemasons meeting in Hull, UK within the Masonic Province of Yorkshire North and East Ridings under the authority of the United Grand Lodge of England.
The Lodge is built on the principles of forward-thinking, inclusivity, and fostering joy for all who join. We balance personal development with camaraderie, ensuring that Freemasonry is both meaningful and enjoyable. Whether through formal meetings, informal gatherings, or social activities, we strive to make every experience enriching and fulfilling. Our lodge is committed to community engagement, charitable initiatives, and fostering a sense of belonging.
We provide a space where members can thrive, grow, and contribute to building a brighter future. With excellent facilities including a large dining room (available for private hire), two lodge rooms, a bar, meeting rooms, a stair-lift, and ample parking, we ensure that all members and guests feel welcome and comfortable. Our philosophy extends to celebrating diversity and unity, creating an environment where every member can achieve their fullest potential while forming deep, meaningful friendships.
We are committed to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct. From the moment of your initiation, you will be supported by our dedicated Technical Lodge Mentor, Membership Officer, and the Brethren. We take pride in creating an environment that encourages personal growth, self-improvement, and accountability. Our informal Lodge of Instruction (LOI) meetings, along with online forums, training opportunities, and Solomon UGLE Masonic education platform ensure that every member has the resources and support needed to enhance their masonic knowledge. Integrity is at the core of our practices, and we aim to inspire and nurture every member to become the best version of themselves.
Meeting on the 3rd Saturday of every month, the Technical Lodge is proud to be a diverse, friendly, and inclusive community where members and visitors from all backgrounds are warmly welcomed. Our lodge is known for its sociable nature, especially at our Festive Board, ensuring that every meeting, whether formal or informal, is an enjoyable and enriching experience. With 46 members ranging in age from 23 to 83, we offer a vibrant, dynamic environment for making lifelong personal connections. We host a variety of social evenings throughout the year, including our Christmas lodge meeting, where partners and family members are invited to join, as well as Ladies’ Evening, Burns Night, Murder Mystery nights, and more. These events provide wonderful opportunities to foster friendships, share enjoyable moments, and celebrate our shared journey in Freemasonry. You will be encouraged to attend and participate in meetings and events to enable you to fully experience the bond of friendship and the benefits of Brotherhood.
Inclusivity is the heart of our lodge’s identity. We welcome individuals from all walks of life, uniting them under shared values of mutual respect, brotherhood, and growth. Our lodge is not just a community of members; it’s an extended family that embraces partners, families, and friends as part of our journey. We honour masonic traditions while embracing innovation, ensuring that our lodge remains vibrant and relevant for all who join. Respect for one another and our shared heritage creates an environment where every member feels valued and supported.
Service to the Community and Charity are a cornerstone of the Technical Lodge. We proudly support both national and local charitable causes through our five-year festival charity program. Funds are raised through raffles, bonus ball, events, and donations from our members. Together, we make a positive impact on our community, embodying compassion, generosity, and service. Our charitable efforts are not only meaningful but also rewarding and fun. Charity does not always mean financial but the giving of time to support local events and initiatives such as Rememberance Sunday and Stewarding local fun runs. By participating in these initiatives, members have the chance to contribute to causes that matter, while creating lasting memories and strengthening the bonds of our fraternity.
